Our Art & Materials
What print options do you offer?
We offer three print options so you can choose what fits the piece and your budget:
- Premium Matte Paper - A smooth, matte-finish print with sharp details and rich, true colours. Great value and ideal for artwork and photography.
- Fine Art Paper (Hahnemühle 210) - A premium archival alpha-cellulose paper from the renowned German paper maker. It delivers crisp detail and is certified for long-term durability, making it our choice for collectors and limited editions.
- Archival Canvas - A premium canvas fabric printed with archival pigment ink for a textured, gallery-style finish that adds depth and character to a space.
What does "archival" mean?
Archival means the print is made with materials certified to last, without fading or yellowing, for decades. Our Fine Art (Hahnemühle 210) and Archival Canvas options use archival paper and pigment inks, while our Premium Matte Paper is a high-quality but non-archival option at a friendlier price.
Is all the art on the website prints or original paintings?
At present we sell high-quality reproductions. These are prints of artwork created by our designers and artists, produced with archival-grade materials, not original hand-painted pieces.
Do you do custom art?
Yes. We offer custom commissions including birth posters, wedding and anniversary art, and friendship posters, all tailored to your dates, names, and colours.
Frames & Glass
Do the frames come with glass?
No. Our Premium Paper and Fine Art prints are protected with acrylic sheets, while Archival Canvas prints are framed without acrylic.
What is an acrylic sheet?
Acrylic is a lightweight, shatter-resistant alternative to glass. It offers excellent clarity while being more durable and safer to transport, which makes it ideal for framed artwork.
Why don't canvas prints come with acrylic?
Canvas is a textured fabric designed to be viewed without a protective cover. Framing canvas without acrylic preserves its natural texture, depth, and artistic appearance.
Are the frames ready to hang?
Yes. All framed artworks arrive ready to hang, so you can display them as soon as they arrive.
Note: No Frame / Rolled Art option If you select the No Frame / Rolled Art option, your artwork will not be ready to hang. It will be carefully rolled in protective tissue and shipped in a rigid tube.
What does gallery wrap mean?
Gallery wrap is available on canvas prints, where extra canvas is wrapped around the back of a wooden frame so the artwork can be hung without any visible frame or glass.
Custom & Personalised Orders
Can I send my own photograph or artwork for framing?
Absolutely. Whether it is a personal photograph, artwork, certificate, or a special memory, we would be delighted to create a custom-framed piece tailored to your requirements. Email us at work.framelane@gmail.com to discuss your project and receive a personalised quote.
What file format should I send for custom framing?
For the best print quality, we recommend high-resolution JPEG, PNG, or PDF files. If you are unsure whether your image is suitable, our team will happily review it before production.
How do custom orders work?
After you place a custom order, we send you a digital mock-up for approval. Once you approve it, the order goes into production. Please double-check all dates, names, and spellings before approving, as we cannot change them after that point.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship across India. Enter your pin code at checkout to confirm delivery to your address.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are made to order. Rolled / unframed art typically ships within 2-3 business days and framed art within 3-4 business days. After dispatch, delivery usually takes 3-6 business days depending on your location.
How do you pack the artwork?
We pack carefully to keep every piece in mint condition. Rolled art is wrapped in protective tissue, then in a poly sleeve, and shipped in a rigid tube marked DO NOT BEND. Framed art is wrapped in protective film, layered in bubble wrap, fitted with corner protectors, and packed in a flat corrugated box with protective filling so nothing shifts in transit.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer free shipping on orders above ₹999 across India.

What payment methods do you accept?
You can check out securely using debit and credit cards, UPI, and net banking through our payment gateway, along with Cash on Delivery.

Caring for Your Art
How do I unpack my art?
For rolled prints, remove the art carefully, handling only the corners and back (never the printed area), place it on a flat surface, and let it settle naturally. For framed prints, remove the packing materials carefully and follow the care instructions card included in the box.
How do I make my art last?
- Don't touch the printed surface - oils and dirt from fingers can smudge or stain it.
- Keep it out of direct sunlight - prolonged sun, especially south-facing light, can fade or yellow a print over time.
- Control humidity - aim for around 35-55% relative humidity. Too high invites mould; too low makes paper brittle.
- Mind the temperature - avoid hanging art near radiators, air conditioners, or vents.
- Dust gently - use a clean, dry, soft cloth on the frame; never wipe the printed surface.
Do you gift wrap?
We do not currently offer gift wrapping, but every order is packed with care. If you are gifting a print, we are happy to include a personalised note with your order.
